M&M was started in 2005 by Mark Mitchell and Mason Bowman. Prior to forming M&M, both Mark and Mason spent several years working in the tax resolution industry and realized the need for a firm that placed an emphasis on honest, personal service. We are a private firm specializing in the resolution of IRS and State tax liabilities nationwide. It is our goal to provide uncompromising tax negotiation for our clients while offering excellent customer service. The owners of M&M both take active rolls in the day to day operations of the business including the representation of M&M’s clients. We offer superior service that ensures accountability and results. You can call M&M any day of the week and get either Mark or Mason on the phone.
M&M has an A+ rating with the Chicago Better Business Bureau. We have been awarded the BBB Complaint Free Award for five consecutive years.
Each of M&M’s tax teams is headed by an attorney or Enrolled Agent. Enrolled Agents (EAs)
are tax professionals tested by the IRS on their knowledge of tax law
and regulations. M&M's tax teams adhere to a code of ethics and professional conduct and
are required to take Continuing Professional Education.
M&M is associated with the National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA), National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP) and the American Society of Tax Problem Solvers (ASTPS). Each organization holds its members to a higher standard of ethics and assists them in maintaining a high level of skills, knowledge and professionalism. Members of these organizations are required to complete continuing professional education each year to remain a member in good standing.
M&M is not a debt relief service. We exclusively represent delinquent taxpayers in front of the collection divisions of the IRS and State taxing authorities. M&M does not negotiate credit card debt or other unsecured debt. We do not lower interest rates or provide credit counseling. We make sure our clients are armed with the best advice and representation available to ensure the best outcome in resolving their tax liabilities. |
